children @ street 11
even though i only went for two sessions, they have been really fun and enriching! :D i wouldnt mind going there during my free time to volunteer my services, really. the kids are so lovable and cute~!
heh at first yile and i were late because i thought it started at 9.30 ._. haha but yile thought it started at 10! so i'm not bad already okay xp
went to help out to set up the stuff at ang mo kio primary. after that the kids started coming in! ^^ super cute~! then helped the little kids put on their bands! haha the K2s are helpful x) saw my little max! he was soo cute ^^~ there's another little kid that wasnt there yesterday. but he's super cute too! i think he's called keith :) and there's another little nursery little boy who's name is unknown, just that throughout the whole warmup exercise, he kept looking at the trail of clouds that an aeroplane had left, and he kept pointing at it and shouting 'aeroplane!' super cuteee~ hahaha i had many unsuccessful attempts at getting him to turn around e.g. "look, aeroplane is there! the other side!" but he didnt believe me. x) hahahaha. even if he did, he only turned his head, without turning his body! xD so in the end i left yile to deal with that cutie. hahaha. went to the cool dude but he sneezed, so i kinda got, err, a little grossed out. heh. xD
the first item was the three-legged race with the NURSERY KIDS! x3 so i got to hold all the little kiddies' hands while they ran! 8D INCLUDING LITTLE MAX'S AND LITTLE KEITH'S! -squeals in delight!- haha. they were all so cute! hahaha lovelove.
next was the k1's *dang i cant remember the game!* then was the k2's tail game! :D super cute too! ^^ they went around grabbing each other's tails and in the end it was so funny how the numbers ended up. XD then was the primary school kids' race! :D it was so cute how they just anyhow threw the five balls they had. XD hahaha. then was a second round of games! nursery kids 8DDD THEY HAD AN OBSTACLE COURSE omg kawaiiiii~ they had to crawl under the table and they looked like such pros doing their lil thing! loveee. ^^ and then was the k1's quiz thingy. hahaha jiaen is quite cute! xD i remember yesterday after every question was asked he'd run to the table, then xiangy would be waiting for his answer, and even after prompts he'd just say i dont know. xD then he'll stay there for 5 mins before going back! XD after each question somemore. hahaha! then while the k2 kids and primary school kids had their games we went to play with the little kids! heh. ^^
AHHHHHH~ max is so cuteeeee! he kissed all of us! 8D and he was so obedient and sat on our laps too! he's so cuteeee. and he has a ming2 xing1 lian3 okay! he looks like a gdragon and seungri mix, but then again i think he looks like L from deathnote too! AHH~ very cuteeee ^^
and i think that charlene is quite cute too! primary 1 little girl ^^ she has humongous eyes and i think she looks like a cat. :D
the only thing i regret is not taking a picture with the whole childcare centre, teachers included! :(
but yay i love that childcare centre. :)
somehow when you compare child@street11 to -- childcare, you can tell the difference. at child@street11, the children are so easily contented, they smile alot, they laugh alot, they love to run around, they are so lovable, easy to coach, easy to love. but at -- childcare, the kids dont get contented easily, they are a harder bunch to teach.. i'm not saying they're not as lovable, because they ARE lovable as well.. :) but how do i put this? i dunno how to say it la.
but i feel so much more comfortable with the kids at child@street11, as compared to the kids at -- childcare.. the teachers too! even though my aunt is the principal of -- childcare. :/ the teachers at child@street11 do it out of their own free will. i think that that's what make them such great and caring teachers. :) even the fierce indian teacher is nice to me :D because i can sense the care she has for the kids ^^ at --, the teachers seem to be there just for the sake of work, and they leave as soon as they can. they dont bother to stay behind, look at the kids, take care of them just that bit longer.
haha i'd better censor the name of the childcare lest i ruin their name! x)
today's been a great day, though i'm all hot and sweaty. :D
