CHAMPIONS!
WE WON.
i didnt really expect it, though in my heart i was hoping and praying like mad.
i mean, it's really hard to think that we would actually WIN right? with the other schools coming so strong and all.
WOW.
all the hard work from december,
all the money,
all the time,
all the sacrificed study times,
all the youtubing,
it paid off. :DD
ahhhhh and i wouldnt have been able to do it without my yearmates! :D omg i looooove yall to bits! ^^
so the big day began with me searching like mad around the house for my extra blouse to lend wenda. found it along my bro's school uniform. YOU WANT TO BECOME GIRL GIRL ISSIT! haiyoh. anyway then we changed and pracced for a short while before putting on makeup and doing our hair.
i'm telling you, we, or at least i did, looked like japanese ghostly students. like we died in school and were back to haunt the other kids.
hahaha. so we proceeded to go to singapore polytechnic. well, not without many stares and giggles, of course. we looked really oddly out of place. HAHA and we tried hiding it!
"eh, moshi moshi?"
"arigato!"
"sayonara!"
and er, weird stuff like that. hehehe.
then we reached the competition venue and we started getting worried. saw all the other competitors with their good makeup, their costumes and all. and the confident looks on their faces. had PAU for lunch xD
then the worst happened. my right eye got super itchy so i rubbed it. i couldnt take it! then my right contact lens went to the back of my eye. luckily there was wenda there, so she told me to blink my eye like mad. blink blink blink and finally it came to the side, so wenda pushed it outta my eye. :D RELIEVED MAN. so i lived with one contact lens on just for the performance. heh i wanted to see the audience you see. and also just in case i needed to see something. hahaha.
when we were called to go to the backstage for the actual performance, we were so unprepared! we didnt even know it was going to be our turn already. it was very sudden, too sudden. NO MENTAL PREPARATION! x| yile and yinqi were still at the toilet, so it got really worrying. even when they came back there were butterflies twirling up and down from my heart to my stomach and back up again. suddenly i really felt like peeing. or maybe it was just a psychological effect, cos after the performance i didnt feel like peeing at all.
during the performance i thought it was longer than usual. i smiled like mad until i thought my smile was retarded, seriously. i took the chances which i could look behind to look at my yearmates. seeing them smile spurred me on to smile wider and gladly my smile lasted throughout the dance. :DDD
(suddenly i feel like as if i'm writing reflections.)
ANYWAY. i made a screwup! D: at the chair dance i didnt close my leg at one part, so at the next part i couldnt open my leg and i almost closed it! eeeks. and the last part would have been fantabulous if they hadnt played the next track! :(((
okay, so we were told that we were too gentle with our dance. started to get scared as i watched the other performances. watched the sec3s do their thing, and they were fantabulous :)
watched ri shake their butts, and it was entertaining :D
watched the other dance groups, and they looked so much mmore energetic than we were.
anyway, the main point is, we thought we were goners!
they announced the duet results first, then they announced the group song. THE JUNIORS WERE CHAMPS! :DD so we cheered like mad and whooped around, and i used up almost all of my voice, cos i thought we wouldnt be able to make it for the dance, so i just cheered my heart out. then they announced the modern dance category. 2nd runners up was crescent, and our hopes were kinda dashed, cos we heard that crescent was really good. then second was scgs. so we thought, no more chance already, cos scgs' had a really cute idea and their performance was entertaining! but then they announced the champion, V.I.P. from RGS! i was like -jaw drops.
it was so unexpected! lovelovelovelovelove. :DDDDDDDDD
okay, enough of post talentime highness. now it's time to start mugging. CHEM AND PHYSICS TMR AND I HAVENT STARTED AT ALL. somebody kill me! D:
