chinese new year!
HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! :D
it was nice, to see my relatives (especially at the paternal side) after not seeing them for ages! had reunion dinner at JCC on sunday with my paternal relatives. what can i say, everyone's matured, grown taller. except me. :( i think i'm going to be the shortest in the family! T.T ah wells short people have their virtues too :D TK's grown shuaier (heard he got quite a few boxes of chocolates on vday! xD), KL's become chioer too. and she's a cheerleader now! zomg! kimmy's grown taller. TW's starting to look like jack neo for some reason (all of us agree on that), TJ's still as small though! steph's all grown up already. and for some reason TK takes hiphop&singing, TW takes breakdancing, TJ takes wushu. O.O wow. active family huh! had loads of chocolate at my p. granny's house.
maternal side's been fine. pretty fun i guess. :D closer to those people, see them more often, so not much changes to me. YH kor and i are on a bakua craze. bakua's from lingzhiyuan! 8D dang nice. we couldnt stop ourselves -salivates. it's suuuuuper nice kae! it's so juicy. 8D we played daidi while eating it ^^
dinner was yummy, as usual. my grandma is superb at teaching the maid to cook. the maid has amazing culinary skills.
on a sidenote, i wish there were more time for my paternal side to bond. i mean, the family's smaller, so naturally it should be easier to bond right? moreover there isnt a big age gap. ironically it's the maternal side that i bond more to! ah wells. i guess it depends on if the people are willing to -shrugs.
looking forward to my m.granny's house tomorrow! :D
i hate it when you get emo. cos i feel so helpless. and then you dont open up but you want other people to care. i dont know what to do anymore. i'm tired, of worrying, of caring. won't you do us a favour and tell us exactly how you feel? i'm sure we'll be able to change. together.identity age crisis!
Aunt1: "You don't look 16."
Cousin1: "Ya lor you don't look 16."
Cousin2: "You look like the sec3 in my school. Don't look sec4."
Cousin3: "No lor! She looks sec2 in my school la!"
Aunt2: "今年中四了啊?" (this year sec4 already?)
Uncle: "我又忘记了，他是你的哥哥对吗?" (sorry i forgot, he's your elder brother right?)
Aunt3: "没有啦!哲轩是弟弟.他中二你中三hor?" (no la, xuan's the younger one! he sec2 you sec3 hor?)
Me: "er 我中四了 -.-" (er i'm sec4 already -.-)
and i didnt even open my mouth to probe about how 'young' i looked. ._.
